Background

The First Company to Develop the Relocatable School in Korea

In 2017, an earthquake occurred in Pohang, causing significant damage to numerous schools. Of these, 29 schools were forced to close. Under this emergency situation, students had to use makeshift classrooms constructed from containers as temporary solutions, exposing them to a substandard educational environment.

NRB recognized the necessity for a high-quality temporary school that allows students to receive education safely while preserving the functionality of the existing school. Consequently, in collaboration with POSCO International Co., Ltd., NRB developed and successfully completed the first mobile school, named the “Gochang High School Modular School Building.”

All the intellectual property rights of the “Gochang High School Modular School Building,” developed in collaboration with POSCO International Co., Ltd., have been transferred to NRB. We are pioneering the emerging market of “Relocatable Buildings.”
